1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

1.1 PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU DISCLOSE TO US

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Website (such as by posting messages in our online forums or entering competitions, contests or giveaways) or otherwise when you contact us.

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Website.

F & D International Logistics does not sell your data to third parties. However, sometimes we must work with third parties to provide you with our services, carry out our agreements or to comply with legal obligations. In this case, we guarantee to have a General Data Protection agreement in place with our partners or third parties who process your data at our request. This is to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this policy will require us keeping your personal information for longer than 10 years.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security, and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Website is at your own risk. You should only access the Website within a secure environment.

7. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data.

 

7.1 VIEWING AND CORRECTING YOUR DATA

You can send a request for access, correction or data transfer of your personal data to info@fdi-logistics.com. You have the right withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by F & D International Logistics and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request for us to send you all the data we have of you. We will send this to you in a computer file.

 

To ensure that the request for access, correction or data transfer is submitted by you, we ask you to send a copy your ID alongside the request. Cover your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with the numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen’s number. (You can do this with the use of an app, for example.) This is to protect your privacy.

When you send a request to us, we will forward and/or adjust your personal data and/or permission without undue delay.

7.2 THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT

 

If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note however that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

7.3 THE RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN

 

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you the ‘right to be forgotten’. This means that you have the right to ask us to delete all your data (provided that F & D International Logistics has no legal obligation to store your data).

If you want to have your all data erased from our systems, please contact us via info@fdi-logistics.com.

To ensure that the request for deletion is submitted by you, we ask you to send a copy your ID alongside the request. Cover your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with the numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen’s number. (You can do this with the use of an app, for example.) This is to protect your privacy.

As soon as we have received this information, we will erase your data without undue delay from all our systems.

7.4 SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY OF PERSONAL DATA

 

If you are resident in the European Economic Area and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. 8. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

​

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy.

9. PRIVACY OF CHILDREN

 

F & D International Logistics does not consciously collect nor does it intend to collect data from website visitors younger than 13 years, unless we have permission from a parent or guardian. If we discover that we have unintentionally collected personal data of a child under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete this information as soon as possible. If you believe that we have data of a minor without parental consent, please contact us at info@fdi-logistics.com. To prevent the collection of children’s data without parental consent we encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children.

10. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS POLICY?

In Short:  Yes, we will update this policy as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
